Ive got the entire set cut up into 4 cd-length mixes, now going up for your listening pleasure. Peace folks…

kosmic/schism B (the schism represents sticking it to the man)

25 January, 2007 (21:22)

i should note that the kosmic event took place this year at the Art’s Court, rather than its regular location on the Carleton campus. Perhaps due to the intolerant nature of the Carleton university administration? All signs point to yes. Lackluster support from that quarter have reduced enthusiasm for too long, and it was good to see the kosmic planners cut the cord. Art’s Court offers many options (booze!) that were sadly lacking at previous events. And i definitely appreciate their focus on the Ottawa Local. Onto the newness:

lokey masses at the Kosmic/Schism (A)

25 January, 2007 (21:08)

i had the pleasure of a tasty three hour set at the Kosmic 2007 party a few weeks past. Although rss cannot convey the pleasures of tasteful architectural wackiness (balloons, snow fence, string, boxes, oh my!), you poor fools who missed out can experience the aural pleasures of your friendly neighborhood dj, right here, right now. Dropping down, not out…

Create Digital Music » CDM Asks: How Do You Set Up Your Ableton Live Sets for Performance / DJing?

one of the things i like best about using ableton is the huge number of permutations possible when setting it up. The combination of tracks, racks, effects sends and routing possibilities make no two setups alike. The cdm folks spend a couple days discussing their individual designs, and man, does that get my creative vibe going. Check it out…
